King
County International Gets New Director
Robert
Burke has been appointed as Director of King County International
Airport, effective 1 April. Mr Burke has been involved
in airport management and related activities for more than
19 years, according to Harold S. Taniguchi, Director of
King County Department of Transportation. The Airport is
a unit within the Department of Transportation.
Most
recently, Mr Burke managed a program providing aviation
services in the Persian Gulf. He is a 20-year veteran of
the U.s. Marine Corps. He succeeds Cynthia Stewart, who
left the post several months ago. Mike Colmant, Assistant
Director of the Airport, has been acting director, and will
now revert to his earlier post.
