POSTED DECEMBER 13, 2004--URGENT ACTION

It is urgent that letters be sent to King County Executive Ron Sims requesting that King County hold off from issuing ANY permits to Glacier NW until the full appeals process on the dock permits is allowed to unfold in the courts.

On November 3, the Shorelines Hearings Board reversed King
County's decision to deny Glacier their two dock permits. On December 1 and 2, Preserve Our Islands, Washington Environmental Council, People for Puget Sound and King County appealed that decision to King County Superior
Court. It is scheduled to be heard on July 11, 2005. Mr. Sims can be reached through email at Exec.Sims@metrokc.gov.

Letters may be addressed to:

Exec. Ron Sims
at King County Courthouse
516 Third Ave., Room 400
Seattle, WA 98104

It is essential that lots of letters make our point. Please stand up for this island, in your own words.
