As
of the end of May, the Port of Seattle had spent more than
$342 million on its third-runway project at Sea-Tac Airport.
It has only moved about 20% percent of the dirt for the
embankment and has no permits. This amounts to a huge gamble
with taxpayers' money, because the Port has no guarantee
that it will be allowed to proceed to completion.
