Photo Archives Added to RCAA Website
We have added a new “page” to this site, our Photo Archives. Month by month, we will be adding interesting photos from our files to this Archives, & we will feature one of those as the Photo of the Month.

The October 2003 Photo of the Month shows Lake Reba from the air, taken in September 2003. Reba is located at the north end of Sea-Tac Airport. The lake, which is managed by the Port of Seattle, receives polluted water from Sea-Tac Airport from four outfalls. The photo shows the worst conditions ever observed at this location - serious pollution & an unexplained algae bloom (usually the result of greatly excessive amounts of particular pollutants). Contaminated water from Lake Reba flows into Miller Creek, & thence into Puget Sound.

To locate the lake more precisely, view our map of Airport-area water resources.
